i've been all around the world;
my name is Kaze. i've roleplayed for Four years, at the most. my comments are Ermm... nice site? O.O I'm a bit embarrassed, considering I've never read Death Note: Another Note, but I have studied BB and Naomi quite thouroughly... and the book, of course. And I do have a pretty obvious phobia of failure, which comes in if I don't get accepted... I suppose you could call me "semi-literate", but I know I am not entirely of such. Any critique is absolutely welcome. Anything that could help me make bios better...
i've been a new sensation;
i was named Beyond Birthday. but you can call me Simply put, BB. However, the B stands for Backup. i was born on October thirteenth. and i am sixteen. i've been known to be quite "insane". but i am still very intelligent.
but it doesn't really matter in this generation;
Beyond Birthday is considered to almost be a "copy" of the great L himself.
Of course, his hair is messy, tangled and black [no one really knows if he dyed it black or if he was truly born that way]. To be like L, he doesn't sleep correctly [purposely waking himself up at two AM every night, and forcing himself to stay awake] just to make bags underneath his eyes. He does slightly have those dark circles like L, but they're fainter. His irises are normal-looking on the outside, dark and malicious, but deep on the inside they're as useful as a Shinigami's, which enables him to see peoples' real names and their life spans. Beyond usually doesn't wear shoes, but if he goes outside for some strange, unexplained reason, he wears an old, worn pair of running shoes.
Being the copy of L, he usually wears black long-sleeves and blue jeans, being the opposite of what L does, but there's rips in the knees. This, however, is how he pictures the great detective. Beyond doesn't honestly care about socks, but since he heard rumors of L not wearing them, he finds them "distasteful". He wears make-up to make himself paler, though his skin has a more "peach-like" tone. In fact, he has probably completely forgotten what he looks like underneath his disguise.
the sophomore slump is an uphill battle;
Beyond is rather... well, "unique", to put it simply.
Insane, perhaps, could be a word to explain him, while there are many others. He does his best to act as L is described, paranoid and over-analyzing. Because of this, he tends to act selfish, otherwise having no personality but this. He also likes to over-react, but in a playful, mocking manner, and he does this when any "real emergency" comes about, like if someone is injured or if there's a fire drill. He's more childish than one might find him, and as he knows L is, he is very competetive, taking losing very poorly.
He definitely doesn't have a "godly" immune system, and as is everyone, he is not completely "sane". Actually, he is rather sadistic, finding others' pain very amusing, be it emotional or psychical. However, as any person might, he tends to hide this. BB doesn't, and never has, found this to be his worst trait, rather than his tendency to be unable to keep secrets, such as the fact that he can see random peoples' names and life-spans. And, when he looks up to see the person's name, he'll snicker.
But as you grow, your personality tends to contort. Even BB knows this. And he knows that he won't be able to keep his strange "ability" caged up forever, as he would really like to be able to use it for something. Something... "special".
and someone said that ain't my scene;
Not really anything is known about BB's past, except that his parents are dead now [obviously], and he's a bit... mentally "unstable".
However, to entertain you, I may-as-well come up with my own little idea;;
[]
A boy, being born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, doesn't seem like anything entirely "unusual", but... Beyond wasn't born the same as he is, childish and sadistic, but he became this way when he turned four years of age. At this age, he began to see strange "numbers" above peoples' heads, including his parents'. He would laugh at the numbers, and read the names above their heads mockingly. Of course he knew them; what force was telling him otherwise? His parents noticed this change in his personality, and immediately phoned a child therapist.
When the man came, and Beyond's Mother quietly explained what he was doing, the adult honestly thought he was insane, and didn't want anything to do with the boy. He left right away, actually. Upon turning six, the boy's intelligence began to show. He was able to learn faster than all of the other children at his school, who envied him. He had no friends because of this, and he was a cold, lonely little boy at school. He had gotten beaten up for being so smart one day, and his parents automatically began to homeschool him because of this, being too afraid and too worried that he would get seriously injured if he continued going to a normal school.
So it was told, they homeschooled him for another year, until on a Saturday, the now seven-year-old Beyond Birthday watched his Mother leave for work, at twelve PM. She came home, at six PM, but there was something strange about her. She wouldn't talk to the boy's father, or himself, and, it seemed, she was very fearful. When she left the next day, she didn't return. And BB was almost certain he saw her numbers go down, more and more, on that very morning. When he told his father, the man left to go look for his wife, leaving his son with their neighbor, a kind, elderly woman. He didn't return, either.
After ten PM, when the boy's father had said he would be back, the babysitter began to worry. At eleven, she called the police, and it was reported that both of Beyond Birthday's parents were dead, having been stabbed to death. The old woman drove over to the Birthday's, and looked for family phone numbers, but she didn't find any, so she handed the young boy over to the police, who took him to an orphanage. There was a school nearby, which he went to for another year. But the boy's true colours showed there, his true intelligence, and they found that the school wasn't ... entirely "right" for the boy. So a flight was booked for England, to another orphanage that the teachers had found "right" for him.
'cause they need a new song;
The way I described BB's clothes are the way I picture them to be, because they didn't mention much of his appearance in the book, I heard.
... And his "History" is of my own imagination, considering there really is no history for him. ;
